Bols Marine is a marine-themed subbrand of Bols Vodka, featuring a distinctive bottle design inspired by the silhouette and motion of a sailing yacht. While Bols Marine itself is a clear vodka, the brand was later expanded with the Bols Marine Cocktail Edition — a ready-to-drink line inspired by classic cocktails.

The Bols Marine project was developed as a visual and strategic extension of Bols Vodka, introducing a marine-inspired subbrand distinguished by its iconic bottle shape, referencing the dynamic form of a sailing yacht. The core product remains a clear vodka, positioned as a premium, lifestyle-oriented offering within the Bols portfolio.

Campaign
Together with Be7 Agency, I worked on defining the brand strategy and brandbook for Bols Marine, establishing a cohesive visual language and clear guidelines for future expansions. The identity was designed to balance brand heritage with a contemporary, maritime aesthetic — clean, elegant, and instantly recognizable.
Cocktail Edition
Building on this foundation, the brand was later extended with the Bols Marine Cocktail Edition — a ready-to-drink product line designed as a natural evolution of the core vodka brand. This extension introduced flavored, pre-mixed cocktails inspired by iconic drinks such as Mojito and Sex on the Beach, while maintaining strong visual and conceptual continuity with the original Bols Marine identity.


Inspired by worldwide cocktails
Each label combines bold color coding, illustrative elements, and dynamic compositions to instantly communicate flavor, mood, and lifestyle associations. The visual language was designed to be highly recognizable on shelf, while also translating seamlessly into digital and promotional materials.

The Cocktail Edition labels received a nomination for Best Packaging in 2025 by Art of Packaging, recognizing the project’s originality, visual quality, and strong shelf impact.

The result is a cohesive, scalable visual system that successfully positions Bols Marine as a modern, lifestyle-driven brand, while elevating the ready-to-drink cocktail category through strong design and strategic thinking.
